"learning styles"

If you do an internet search on the term “learning styles”, you will find a plethora of information on how best to tailor education and strategies to the different styles of learners. You may read about 4 and up to 7 styles described, with the VARK model (Visual – Auditory – Reading/ Writing – Kinaesthetic) likely being the most prominent.

At the same time, you may do a search on “learning styles myth” and you will see an equal number of articles on the controversy surrounding the concept of learning styles. Proponents that learning styles is a myth will describe in depth how the belief of this concept can harm and even be detrimental to our learners.

Reading such blatantly conflicting information can be confusing for many parents and educators.

Join us in this webinar as we discuss brain- and researched-based facts and myths on learning styles. This important discussion aims to lead us to the best strategies to cater to the unique learning needs of individuals to support their personal and school success.

Attend this webinar to:

  • Uncover the facts and myths surrounding learning styles
  • Understand the relationship between cognitive skills and learning styles
  • Take home research-based strategies to help our learners excel through understanding their unique cognitive profiles
